Frank Villa
Windsor, COFrank, is a Professional angler from Colorado, he is a member of the Centennial Bass Club and a veteran of many local tournaments. He has many top finishes in his club and local tournaments and he is now a competitor at the national level where he competes in the BASS Central Opens.
Frank competed in the 2008 Central Opens and placed 11th overall. He is the founder of the Northern Colorado Jr Bass Club and is very active in youth programs.At 44 years old, Frank is a 17 year veteran in the fire service, a career firefighter for 17 years and 10 years as a volunteer gives him 27 years of firefighting experience. At 3 years old, Frank began his fishing experiences on Jackson reservoir in Northern Colorado, Frank Sr. his father took him and his brother Mike fishing, hunting, camping for many years. “I remember fishing Rivers, Lakes, Ponds, creeks, etc. then going hunting in the same trip it was awesome!”
Frank took those fishing desires to the next level and began tournament fishing with Centennial Bass Club of Northern Colorado (www.centennialbass.com) in 2000. Frank is the club Webmaster, and has been the Secretary, Vice President, President, and Currently the Youth Director of his Club. Frank has now brought his 40 something years of Fishing and Hunting, and his joy of tournament style fishing together with his attitude and desire for the fire service to promote the Tigerodz name.Frank has been married for 21 years to his wonderful wife, best friend, and manager Echo, and has 4 children, Micaela (19), Jacob (17), Seth (16), and Joshua (12). Frank plans to have a career in the Fishing and Tackle industry and eventually fish full time on tour. He spends approx. 150 days per year on the water, and has plans to use his free time in the future to teach children how to fish and get them involved in the sport. 3 years ago Frank started the Northern Colorado Jr Bass Club which currently has 25 members and continues to grow.
Frank’s favorite technique is pitching, he is especially good at pitching heavy cover using jigs, creature baits, tubes, and beaver type baits.
